September launch for new bidding round
"The next Bidding Round for the Objective 3 Programme in the North East
of England will be launched on 1 September 2003 with a closing date of 3
October 2003.
The Programme, worth £80 million in new projects, will be administered
primarily by the Co-financing Organisations comprising the four Learning &
Skills Councils and Jobcentre Plus. There will also be a limited Direct
Bidding Round to Government Office for the North East.
The precise categories of bids to be invited are still under discussion, but
initial advice and guidance to potential applicants can be obtained from ESFVON.
Voluntary Organisations considering an application for funding are requested,
if they have not already done so, to contact ESFVON as soon as possible to
clarify the funding route they should be considering and to ensure the
necessary arrangements for them to receive detailed guidance when published."e;
