ESF OBJECTIVE 3
*************************
CURRENT CO-FINANCING OPPORTUNITY IN
NORTHUMBERLAND
**************************
An invitation to tender to deliver activity in line with project specifications
has been published by Northumberland Learning and Skills Council. The deadline
for submission of applications is 4.00 pm Friday 18th May 2007.
Specification Policy Field 1.2
A project to support 100 young people, currently in ‘NEET’ group, into employment,
education, or training. The project will target overcoming barriers, offer
accredited training and employer engagement, building upon IAG and personal
development plans. Activity should be focussed on rural areas and be linked to
relevant agencies. Even though the funding on offer is modest (total, and per
capita) it is still anticipated that a partnership bid may be at an advantage (for
information about possible partners, contact ESFVON).
Resource: £75,000
Key Outputs: 30% into work; 50% into education or training; 75% achieving
recognised qualification
Specification Policy field 4.1
A consortia or partnership to increase capacity across voluntary sector organisations
to be part of future LSC contracting opportunities. Activity will target the development
of individuals employed within the sector, and to support organisations to achieve IIP
status. Since there is an active Working Together Consortium already in place, it would
be important for organisations seeking development of capacity to make contact with it
(for information about the Consortium contact ESFVON).
Resource: £186,000
Key Outputs: 20 Voluntary organisations supported; 100 employees trained (70% to
level 2, outside of Train to Gain entitlement) – no funded training for volunteers
unfortunately.
