TEES VALLEY LSC CO-FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES:
VOLUNTARY & COMMUNITY SECTOR BRIEFING
************

TUESDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER 2005
HEMLINGTON INITIATIVE CENTRE, CASS HOUSE ROAD,
HEMLINGTON, MIDDLESBROUGH AT 10 A.M.

ESFVON will be running a Briefing, Project Sounding and Development Session on 6 September 2005 at Hemlington Initiative Centre in response to the current Tees Valley LSC invitation to tender for ESF funding through Co-financing.

Project proposals have to be submitted to the LSC by Monday, 26 September 2005. Whilst the LSC will be holding technical support surgeries on 31 August and 2 September, ESFVON will not be seeking to duplicate this provision of technical information.

Our briefing session will be targeting VCS organisations specifically, and is aimed at providing an analytical overview, whereby organisations will be better placed to assess whether their potential to offer a project proposals is in line with the published project specification. In other words, we will be seeking to help organisations reach a decision as to whether to bid or not to bid.

The session is envisaged as follows:

  • A fairly short review of all he published specifications, followed by open questions on the basic protocols and next steps.
  • When representatives are clear about the immediate process they will have the opportunity, in an open forum, to seek feedback on whether any potential proposal is likely to be in line with the specifications.
  • Organisations wishing to follow up this process - for example, to discuss how project proposals can be enhanced or developed (including links with other organisations, adjusted targeting, etc) may choose to do so in a one-to-one surgery with ESFVON. Time will be set aside to begin these surgeries when the open meeting concludes.
  • Alternatively representatives will be able to book a surgery for a later date.

Coffee and tea will be available from 9.30 a.m. and we envisage that the morning session will finish at 12 noon followed by a light buffet and the opportunity to receive initial guidance on their proposals.

To reserve a place on this Briefing Session, please complete the enclosed booking form.
