Future Calls for Co-Financing Tenders in Tyne & Wear

The next round will be to invite tenders for workforce development provision in the following sectors in Tyne and Wear:

Clothing and Textiles
Retail
Business and Finance
Contact Centres
Childcare
Engineering/Manufacturing

The Co-Financing Application Pack/Prospectus detailing the tender specifications, criteria and LSC Co-Financing processes will be available from Monday 2nd February 2004. The deadline for submission of tenders under this call will be Friday 5th March 2004.

A second Co-Financing tendering round will be a regional workforce development call issued on behalf of the North East Adult Skills Pilot. This will be co-ordinated by the four North East LSCs and it is expected that the prospectus will be issued on the 1st March 2004 with a deadline for submission of regional tenders of the 2nd April 2004.

A third Co-Financing tendering round is being planned that will focus on the delivery of Basic Skills provision to disadvantaged groups in Tyne and Wear. It is anticipated that the call for Basic Skills tenders will be issued in April or May 2004.
