UPDATE ON CO-FINANCING

Call for Co-Financing Tenders from all LSCs in the North East (Tyne & Wear, Durham, Tees Valley, Northumberland)

A Co-Financing Tendering Round is currently being co-ordinated by the region's four local Learning and Skills Councils. This regional call is issued on behalf of the North East Adult Skills Pilot and invites tenders for workforce development provision in a number of sectors. The following sectors are targeted:

  • Digital Multi-Media (ESF Objective 2)
  • Chemical and Pharmaceutical (ESF Objective 2)
  • Construction (ESF Objective 3)
  • Health and Social Care (ESF Objective 3)

A Co-Financing Application Pack/Prospectus detailing the tender specifications, selection criteria and LSC Co-Financing processes is now available. The deadline for submission of tenders will be 12.00 noon, Friday 2nd April 2004. All completed tenders must be submitted to Susan Robinson at Tees Valley LSC.

The NE Adult Skills Pilot has been established by the four local LSCs within the region, JCP and One NorthEast. It aims to improve the responsiveness of training provision to meet business needs, and to equip more adults with the skills, competences, knowledge and understanding which employers need. The central aim is to raise the region's productivity levels and improve economic competitiveness.
